Lis, this is absolutely beautiful, your words radiate warmth and purpose. I love how you’ve turned connection into a cornerstone of your journey here. That Friday shout-out tradition? It’s such a simple yet powerful way to build community and remind people they matter.

Your reflections on honesty, authenticity, and generosity hit home for me. They’re the lifeblood of any meaningful space, online or off. And your encouragement to lift others up? That’s the kind of ripple effect the world needs more of!

Happy you have had such a great ‘first month’ here in the Substack woods, as I call them. It is indeed a nice place to be. Safe and homely.

Thank you very much, Helena! I appreciate your kind words and taking the time to read and comment on this post. I just read that you are a “Lover of deep woods.” Yay! We share this in common, and I spend almost every day strolling along the wooded trails near our home. The forest is where I do some of my most enjoyable dreaming, thinking, and wondering.

May your weekend be filled with wooded trails and much peace and joy. 💖💖💖

Hi Lis!

Looks like you and I overlap with what we value most: authenticity, honesty, and generosity. I would add kindness and inclusion/belonging for my own personal values, as well. So glad to be here with you. Looks like you're off to a great start and that you are doing great things. Please keep reaching out to me if you have any ideas on ways you and I might work together in the future, and I'm happy to support you and your work!

Hi Lis! I hope you had an amazing trip…maybe you are still traveling? I relate to your post and have been on Substack about the same amount of time you have. Lately I’ve noticed my subs leveling off and I started to worry, but immediately stopped myself with the thoughts of the quality of feedback and responses in my posts, which seem to be touching people, at least a few, so I count that a major success. Also, I’ve discovered legit friends here and amazing writing.

Good morning, Michelle!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and share how your Substack journey is unfolding. I really appreciate your insight—especially how you’re intentionally focusing on the friendships you’ve formed and the meaningful feedback you’re receiving. It feels like such a gift when our words resonate with someone.

After a bit of desert R&R, my husband and I hit the road again tomorrow. I’m so grateful for these peaceful days. Wishing you a weekend full of peace, light, and love. I’m looking forward to staying connected here!

Lis 💖💖💖
