I'm so glad we connected and honestly it feels like we have known each other for more than 50 days. That's Substack. We connect, we bond through our words, we share.

I love this space. But I’m also conscious I want to ‘live IRL’ and give myself time to do just that.

I aim to do one note per day and one or two post per month plus my monthly newsletter. Plus comment and restack where words resonate with me. My only must do commitment is my newsletter.

That works for me.

Hello, Sal. I also feel like we’ve known each other for much longer than 50+ days. Your friendship has been an unexpected and delightful gift. Thank you very much for sharing what is working for you on Substack.

I’ve discovered that living IRL and finding balance is much easier post-retirement. I don’t believe I could have managed Substack while teaching and caring for my mom, and this has been another reminder of how so many things in life show up at the right time—if we give ourselves space and time to breathe.

It’s always lovely to see a message from you, and I wish you a beautiful day filled with peace and joy. I hope youur Mother’s Day was lovely beyond words.💖💖💖

You have been busy, Lis. I started on here just before you. I wrote a few notes that got no response, then wrote one that got me 30 subscribers; then felt the need to step back and consolidate, so no more notes for now. I’ve made two or three good friends, trying to sort out where I am with the other people I come across and who is really interested in what I have to offer. I’m going to test out offering a different service in my next post, remote healing, for free. Whether I’ll get any takers, I don’t know, but I’m sure there are plenty of people on here who would be glad of it. It’s a case of finding a way to connect. It still feels like a bit of a labyrinth.

Hello, Charles. Thank you very much for taking the time to read and share comments about your journey on Substack. I’m very impressed that you had a Note that brought you 30 Subscribers.

I’m interested to read your next post about remote healing. I wish you the very best with rolling it out and connecting with people who would be interested and most appreciative of such an offer.

I surely resonate with your words, “It still feels like a bit of a labyrinth.” Indeed! Here’s to finding our way through with meaning, support, and more than a sprinkling of joy. 💖💖💖

Yes, the note was about reading Substack, so those that subscribed were not familiar with my output. My numbers have hovered at around 38 for a month with a trickle in and a trickle out as it gradually becomes a more interested body of people. This gives me an idea of a different note to try to see if it draws in more interested people.

Hello, Charles.

Thank you for sharing about the Note that gained you many subs. Notes feel like small, inspirational gifts wrapped in tiny packages that have the potential to change a day, a life, and beyond. I wish you a weekend filled with much peace and joy.💖💖💖
